Android is a great OS and platform but SD Cards are not, and phone theft is not avoidable if they are meant to happen. Phone crashes and data loss around the world is regular. A website stated that “There is Data Loss every 4 seconds”. I used to back up my Contacts, SMS, Calendar and other data to CD/DVD. One day horror happened. CD/DVD wasn’t running at all. I had an old backup at another place so it was relief. However, that made me very anxious, and I began my hunt to find some Online or say Cloud Service.

I found numerous, tested many and found just 2-3, which are ahead. All have some cons and pros. I wanted an On the Fly Backup done to cloud. Let’s understand backups first;

– Android backup can be a compiled file (Zip or something) like Sprite, Titanium, MyBackUp, etc. makes. Then it is uploaded to Cloud using Box or DropBox services. They can provide Media and / or Contact, Apps, Data, Calendar, Messages (Text) backup to a server in one compressed file.

– Otherwise Backups can be real-time like as it appears on your Phone. It means Phonebook, Call logs, messages, calendar and other data backed up on a portal where you can check, edit, etc. that too live and send back to phone. This is also called as On the Fly Backup.

– Apps and other things are actually not much to care about. You can install them anytime. Licensed apps are given again by support teams. Furthermore, you can take the backup with Apps like SuperManager Free.

The dilemma with Zip and archives is when they are restored back they delete the earlier data from the phone because it is not merged with existing, it is added or moved. It is impossible to edit these data in real-time. Besides, it is impossible to be selective. When you just want to restore 30 Messages from 200 which are in a zip file, you will be entirely lost. So, I prefer Real-time thing. The second one!  As I can edit contacts, calendar, Text, notes online, see the memories in messages; send them back to phone (selectively) without deleting or duplicating the data, I prefer this method.

The service to find a host who gives Contact, Text, calendar backups, etc. is difficult one. Never go for free one, even if they are there. They don’t guarantee a lifetime service and their Android Apps. I found very buggy. E.g. Everdroid never Backed up my contacts and messed my Google contacts in my phone. M:IQ always keep hanging at 100% and when I saw, there was only 16 Contacts backed up. Out of 500? How that is 100%?

Bloove

There is one service which I found seamless, real-time, blazing fast and with great customer support is Bloove. Bloove out stands in everything. The supported phone, the non-buggy App, auto and manual syncs, etc. It provides 3 Plans to suit your needs, including a Free one. Free plan comes with some restriction and limited to 1 Device. They have Archive and Running Module format. In Archive Text, Contact, etc. can be kept saved and they will be there even deleted from Phone. Running Module in front only shows the current syncs and changes. Movement of data from later to former and vice-versa is possible at any time and that too selectively. There is no country or carrier restriction.

Unlimited plan is a deal. Unlimited Devices, Unlimited Backups, Archive, etc. It costs $120/year. It may sound very costly. If you have more than 2 Devices or if you can share this with someone without security concerns then you, it is good for you. So, I am providing you 25% Discount Code for Life. See the end of post.

Basic Plan comes with $10/Monthly or $60/yearly for 2 Devices. 3000 Archive limit (Running module is unlimited), Auto-Restore and Sync. 25% Discount Code for Life applies here also.

Free one is totally free with 1 Device but have a restriction like no auto-restore, no auto sync etc. You have to restore manually in the free plan. Archive limit is just 15 for contact and 100 for messages. (Please note it is different from actual Running One. Current Running module is unlimited.)

Bloove keeps everything separate. Contacts and messages from Phone, Various Google Accounts are kept separately under the specific folder. You can do almost any operation on them which you can do on the phone.

SMS (Messages/Text) Panel:

I found this service great after searching for weeks. It syncs automatically whenever there is a change in Calls, messages. It syncs only the changed portion only, so saves on bandwidth very much.

CONTACTS PANEL:

STATS: I made a backup of 500 Contacts, 2000 Messages, 2 Weeks Call Logs, 2 Calendar and other. It was only 455 KB. After that it was like Half KB every time. TOO GOOD!

I am impressed with the performance. As per me, even if the service may sound little costly, it may save you one day.

Get your Bloove here with 25% Discount on Initial and all further Recurrent Payments (Yes! For Life). Use this Code: A7A2
